What exactly is a PITBOX™?
PITBOX™ is a purpose-built insulated box designed specifically for resting smoked meats like brisket, pork shoulder, ribs, and more. Unlike old plastic coolers, it’s clean, safe, and made for the job.
Why can’t I just use a regular cooler?
You could—if you don’t mind BPA, lingering smells, meat juice stains, and questionable cleanliness. PITBOX™ is designed for food safety, heat retention, and peace of mind.
How long does it keep meat hot?
PITBOX™ can hold internal meat temps above 140°F for up to 4+ hours (depending on the cut and wrapping method). We've run the tests, and the results speak for themselves.
What sizes does it come in?
Currently, PITBOX™ comes in two sizes. The original is for the at home backyard pitmaster looking to up his game and finish to cook. The PITBOX™ PRO was designed for local restaurants and caterers looking to feed an army.
PITBOX™: 14" L x 12" W x 8" H – Perfect for pork butts, ribs, and smaller briskets
PITBOX™ PRO: 22" L x 13.75" W x 6" H – For full briskets or multiple racks of ribs
Is it leak-proof?
Yes. The top seal is specifically designed to lock in heat, moisture, steam, and if tilted nothing should spill.
Can I use it for cold food too?
You bet. While it’s made for resting meat, PITBOX™ works great as a cooler for drinks, sides, or anything that needs to stay cold during transport.
