Built With Purpose

Great barbecue doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of heat, patience, and the right tools.

At PITBOX™, we engineered our resting system using two materials trusted by professionals: restaurant-grade stainless steel and expanded polypropylene (EPP). Each material has specific performance advantages on its own.

But when they work together, they create something entirely new—a resting environment designed specifically for smoked meats.

Stainless Steel

The Real Magic Happens Together

Engineered for Resting Meat.

Stainless steel and expanded polypropylene each perform incredibly well on their own. But together, they create the perfect environment for resting barbecue.

The stainless steel interior stabilizes heat and provides a clean, food-safe resting surface. The EPP outer shell surrounds it with powerful insulation that slows heat loss dramatically.

The result is a controlled resting chamber that holds temperature up to 75% longer than traditional resting methods—especially the backyard standard: a plastic cooler.

Instead of rapidly losing heat, your brisket or pork shoulder rests gradually, allowing juices to redistribute and connective tissue to relax. The meat stays hot, tender, and ready to slice when it matters most.

PITBOX™ was designed specifically for resting meat.

Every material, surface, and layer works together toward a single goal: Better barbecue.
