PITBOX™ is engineered to retain heat for extended periods during the meat resting process. Stainless steel surfaces, hot contents, and steam may become extremely hot during use. Always use heat-resistant gloves and open carefully to avoid steam exposure. PITBOX™ is intended for resting and temporary heat retention of cooked foods only. The insulated EPP outer shell should never be placed on grills, stovetops, in ovens, or over open flames. Always follow proper food safety guidelines and verify serving temperatures with a food thermometer.

What is it made of?
Stainless steel inner box with lid and a durable, lightweight, easy-to-clean expanded polypropylene (EPP) outer shell.
What sizes does it come in?
Currently, PITBOX™ comes in two sizes. The original is for the at home backyard pitmaster looking to up his game and finish to cook. The PITBOX™ PRO was designed for local restaurants and caterers looking to feed an army.

How long will it keep meat hot?
PITBOX™ can hold internal meat temps above 140°F for up to 4+ hours (depending on the cut and wrapping method). We've run the tests, and the results speak for themselves.
Can I use it for cold foo
You bet. While it’s made for resting meat, PITBOX™ works great as a cooler for drinks, sides, or anything that needs to stay cold - even during transport.
Is it leak-proof?
Yes. The top seal is specifically designed to lock in heat, moisture, steam, and if tilted nothing should spill.
How does it compare to a beer cooler?
You could—if you don’t mind BPA, lingering smells, meat juice stains, and questionable cleanliness. PITBOX™ is designed for food safety, heat retention, and peace of mind.
