Care & Use

  • Remove all manufacturers stickers from pan and lid
  • Wash stainless pan and lid before first use
  • Hand wash or dishwasher-safe if applicable
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners
  • Allow unit to cool after use before cleaning
  • Store dry between uses
  • Do not seal spoiled or uncooked foods inside PITBOX™

Safe Use Recommendations

  • Always use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot contents
  • Open carefully to avoid steam exposure
  • Verify food temperatures with a thermometer before serving
  • Outer insulated shell should never be placed over direct heat
  • Intended for resting and heat retention of cooked foods

Heat & Burn Warning

⚠️ WARNING: Contents and stainless steel pan may become extremely hot during use. Use heat-resistant gloves or mitts when handling hot food, pans, or lids. Avoid direct skin contact with heated surfaces.


Steam Warning

⚠️ WARNING: Hot steam may escape when opening lid. Open carefully and keep face and hands away from escaping steam.


Food Safety Disclaimer

PITBOX™ is designed for resting and temporary heat retention of cooked foods.
Always verify internal food temperatures using a calibrated food thermometer and follow USDA food safety guidelines.


Used as a Cooking Device

⚠️ WARNING: PITBOX™ EPP outer-shell is not intended for cooking, reheating, or direct flame exposure. Do not place on grills, stovetops, burners, open flames, or in ovens. Outer shell is NOT oven-safe.

Oven-safe Stainless Steel pan & lid. Stainless steel insert may be oven-safe per manufacturer specifications.


Outer Shell Heat Exposure Warning

⚠️ WARNING: Do not expose insulated outer shell to direct heat sources or temperatures exceeding manufacturer recommendations.

Expanded polypropylene (EPP) can deform under excessive direct heat over 300˚F.


Child Safety

⚠️ WARNING: Keep out of reach of children when in use.
Hot contents can cause burns.


Carrying / Spill Warning

⚠️ WARNING: Use caution when transporting hot liquids or foods.
Spills may result in burns or injury.
